Pete Ashdown muttered something about... :: ::This Sunday, a friend encouraged me to tune into a show being broadcast from ::either Arizona or New Mexico (I can't remember) called "Star Streams". ::Normally, the radio is something reserved for the car, and very rarely does ::anything grab me. However, I was pleasantly surprised with this show. Yeah, it's generally pretty cool. But then again, most of the music I hear on public radio in general is in the least fair to good. [...] ::Then again, he played a whole lot of sparkly dolphin music and had ::advertisiments for his HOUSE and cheesy "wealth, money, love, and power" ads. ::This combined with a new-age-Don-Pardoe mannerism made me cringe between set ::breaks. Agreed. I tend to mentally tune out his ramblings, but you have to understand that this show is most likely listened to religiously by the whole New Age{tm} set (read sect ;-). ::Yet, it doesn't make for bad Sunday morning listening. He may come up with ::something I don't have and want to buy yet. Ooh, Sunday morn? It airs in Milwaukee late Sunday nights. I'd much rather hear that music when I rise in the morning. I know, I'll set my vid machine timer for Sunday night, connect the audio-in to the tuner of my stereo system and then listen to the shows one week delayed in the morning. Wow, why didn't I think of this before. Perfect chill music for waking the morning after a rave. =) e x t r a p o l a t e steve j. white _____________________________________________________________________________ Gort, klatu barada nicto. aragorn@alpha1.csd.uwm.edu
